Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Nick, and when developers want to put their rad indie games on PlayStation things, they can talk to me. Which sounds threatening somehow, but they can! Phil even did it once.
What podcasts do you listen to?
- By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin is my favorite podcast these days. He basically just interviews people he loves and admires, and then constantly interrupts them to tell great stories and make dumb jokes, so it’s just super positive and hilarious. Just start with the first episode with Larry David, since it’s one of the greatest things you’ll ever hear.
- Risk! is a bold comedy storytelling show, hosted by Kevin Allison of The State. The stories are funny, raw, and always heartfelt, and you’ll hear people opening up to an amazing degree. The music choices are also excellent, but the show is so good that I always skip through them.
- Welcome to Night Vale seems to have blown up huge, which is crazy because it’s even more weird and specific than it is great. And it’s really great. If the concept of a news report from a fictional desert town makes you flip out with excitement like I did when I heard about it, you’re pretty much going to love it.
How do you listen to podcasts?
I’m weird, but I manage my podcast collection in iTunes and then sync the current batch of new ones I want to my iPhone. But it kind of works, since then I have to listen to them all before going through the hassle of syncing new ones. Also I’m 84.
