What podcasts do you listen to?
Obviously there are the staples, like This American Life, The Moth, Radiolab and NPR Fresh Air, but let me mention some that your readers may not be as familiar with.
The Loveumentary – A new discovery. The hosts capture the most compelling love stories in America and navigate between beautiful, tragic, incredible, lucky, fascinating and lots of other kinds of stories.
NYT Music Popcast – The New York Times music critics talk each week about the latest pop music news. ‘Nuff said.
The Combat Jack Show – As a hip hop history nerd, this is the only thing out right now to scratch that itch.. Amazing conversations with a diverse guests and an overall appreciation for the culture.
NPR Planet Money – Certainly not an unknown either, but still deserving of more attention for the way they break down complex financial stories in the news and make them not only understandable but also fascinatingly entertaining. Also, I have a voice crush on Zoe Chace
Here’s The Thing – Alec Baldwin’s conversation podcast with a great variety of guests that range from scientists, to orchestra musicians, actors, politicians and much more. Alec is a bit much at times, but a great interviewer.
By The Way, In Conversation With Jeff Garlin – Super casual, and barely prepared conversations in front of a live audience. I have listened to the first episode with Larry David four times in full already. Incredible.
